OUR STORY

Our Story

FOUNDED IN 1973

 Don and Linda Boucher started D&L Tile in 1973, which has now become a front runner to the Reno Tile and Stone Industry. They started out in the basement of their house and moved to the current location in 1978. Their resilient partnership in business, as well as husband and wife, transpired the sentiment of family throughout the company. Employees and customers alike can attest to the professional yet personal feel only a local Reno company can create. Don and Linda were married 60 years until Dons passing in 2021.

The Second Generation

Now run by its second generation, D&L Tile continues to serve its community under the direction of Don & Linda’s son, Steve Boucher. He has been known for taking pride in his community and has influenced the lives of young baseball players as a former coach in both Little League and at Reno High School. Steve continues to forge bonds within Reno as a board member of the Care Chest of Sierra Nevada, and the Nevada State Bar Disciplinary Panel.

The Family Legacy Continues

Steve’s son, Ryan Boucher,  graduated from the University of Nevada and is now starting up the 3rd generation of D&L tile and is bringing  the introduction of new technologies in laser measurement and innovative changes to fabrication.

Continuing the D&L Tile legacy comes only second in the Boucher’s overall objective. Steve, Ryan and all of D&L Tile strive to find better ways to serve our community, create a better product, and leave their customers with a place they can proudly call their home.

I am super happy with the work D&L Tile performed. I did not know what I wanted but I knew I wanted my old tile countertops replaced. I went down to their showroom and fell in love with a slab they had in their yard. After picking out my slab I was able to find the perfect tile in their showroom to go along with my countertops. I would recommend D&L Tile to anyone looking to get any granite fabrication or tile installation done. I absolutely love my new quartzite countertops!

Great job. Love our new kitchen island granite countertop. D&L people were all professional and personable. Couldn't have asked for a better job. Fast, efficient and the price was right. We are going to hire them again very soon.

Just finished getting my counters and floor finished up by D&L. I went down to the showroom and from the start they immediately were extremely helpful with design, styles, materials, etc. The installation process was on time and well done and I don’t think I could have been any happier! I definitely suggest using them, and I will be using them again in the future!

When we were searching for someone to do our upgrades for our home we had reached out to a contractor. The contractor wants an astronomical amount of money that just was not within budget. We found D and L tile for our countertop and found out they did other tiling work! We just hired them for our full job and are so excited to see the completed project. We appreciate D and L tile for working with us and making everything within budget! They are wonderful people and I can’t wait to see their final work. Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking to do any tiling and countertops in the kitchen and bathroom.

Love love love this place. They made our remodel very easy, it could have been difficult .....Manny was terrific excellent job of demolition and template....William was fantastic everything fit perfect!!!!Zach, Ryan and Ali Sue all super nice and accommodating....I highly recommend this place!!!

A customer came into the office, he is 84 years old and doesn’t have an email so he asked me to post a review about how great of an experience he had with his bathroom floor installation. Very professional. I had them redo my bathroom, fireplace and my kitchen. They had a huge selection of tile and granite. I was able to find the perfect slab from their granite yard as well as tile for my shower and my backsplash. They were very clean when they tore everything out and got it all out back together. When it came to the countertops, they took a digital template of it and I was able to view the layout before they cut it. I highly recommend them to any one looking to get a very professional result

D&L Tile completed a demo and new install of quartzite countertops and tile backsplash in our kitchen. Every person that we interacted with was a pleasure to work with. Zack came out and did the initial measuring and quote. He was very thorough and polite. Grant and McKenna did the demolition and did a nice job of protecting our home from any damage and dust. Dena’s eye for detail guided us in our selection of the stone and tile. She was very quick to narrow down the many selections that they offered. Ryan came to measure with his high tech measuring technology and was very friendly, knowledgeable and polite throughout the process. We did not meet the stone installers but they did a great job. The fit and finish was perfect especially around the farm sink! Cameron did a great job on the backsplash. We have an older home that is not flat, plumb, level or square but he mastered the install nicely. The turnaround time was faster than we anticipated thanks to Mark who kept the schedule moving day by day. By the way, these are all the type of people that we felt comfortable leaving the front door unlocked to get in when we weren’t there. Many thanks to a great team effort!

We're very pleased with D&L Tille. We had a master bathroom countertop fabricated and installed and it's beautiful. We worked with Ryan Boucher who was very helpful and informative. He gave us suggestions that saved us quite a bit of money, which is always nice!There was a quick turnaround time too. The template guy (Sorry...I didn't get his name) came on a Tuesday, and they installed it the following Monday.Could not be happier with the entire experience!

D&L did a beautiful job installing a new quartz countertop in our newly remodeled kitchen.They were not only well organized, timely and conscientious with the install but friendly, polite and went out of their way to keep any dust from reaching other parts of the house. We will definitely go through D&L the next time we purchase granite or tile.

This review is long overdue! After calling about 15 tile & granite companies for installation we finally called D&L Tile. They are the only company that actually answered the phone and/or returned our call! We had all of our materials and just needed someone to do the installation.They were responsive and got us on their schedule! We had kitchen counters/backsplash, bathroom shower, counters, floor and wall done through them. Along with our sons vanity. The process was flawless! They are professional and their communication was great! Thank you Ryan, Mark and everyone at D&L Tile that worked with us to get our job done!!We are very happy with everything!!

D&L Tile did an amazing job! We had quartz countertops and glass backsplash installed. All of the installers were on time and very professional. The cabinets were delayed from a different company and Ryan was very accommodating and immediately scheduled the work to be done the minute all the cabinets arrived. Ryan went above and beyond to come out the night before we had a our daughters graduation party and install the plywood for the countertops just so we would have a place to put food. I would highly recommend D&L tile for order and install!

Don't have enough time or space to say enough about D&L Tile! Almost five years ago we contracted with them to do two bathroom remodels - no small feat. Amazing results!!!We hired them again in 2020 to do an extensive remodel which included demo, flooring, countertops, backsplash, bathroom tile, etc. They truly made our vision materialize! I had a design idea in mind and they helped hone the concept. I greatly admired their communication level - I'm a realist and know that nothing ever goes perfectly however they came close to perfection because we had realistic expectations and conversations throughout the whole project. This is a family owned company and they treat their customers with respect and professionalism. The quality of their work speaks for itself - their employees are true craftsmen!We have had an abundance of compliments on the finished product. We have and will continue to refer D&L Tile to anyone looking to transform their spaces!

Steve and Ryan were a pleasure to work with! We had a granite in mind that was unavailable. They went to extra lengths to find one that was similar. The craftsmanship of our granite countertops and the install of the herringbone tiled backsplash is really beyond words. They walked us through every step of the process in a timely manner. Amazing workmanship! We bought our vacation home without viewing and of course, hated the kitchen sinks once we actually moved in. Our plumber referred D and L to help us update the sinks. Ryan scheduled a visit within days from the first call I made to D and L Tiles. Ryan took measurements and pictures of the granite cutouts. Even though the new stainless steel sinks were NOT present at the time of Ryan's visit, he was able to make create miracles with pictures I sent him. Ryan kept us updated throughout the process since we still reside in California. Within two weeks, D and L tiles took out the old kitchen sinks, cut out the granite countertops to install our new larger stainless steel sinks. We are EXTREMELY happy with the work D and L did for us. They left our kitchen really cleaned and SPECTAULAR! We look forward to having D and L Tiles updating our flooring and bathrooms in the future.

I was a walk-in client to the D&L showroom in Reno. And there, Jeff helped me to find the correct kitchen countertop that matched my sample and the correct bathroom countertop to meet my requirements. Because D&L also has their own fabrication space, the timing of delivery and install is more streamlined. Ryan who measured And installed the countertop with his team was great. He was on time for every meeting, very responsive via phone, and a pleasure to work with. I’ll be going back to D&L for our next project And recommending them to my contractor friends.

D&L Tile remodeled our kitchen and it looks absolutely amazing! I can't decide which I like more, the tile or the granite counter-tops! Aside from the end results, Steve and Ryan were so easy to work with. I didn't have to worry about who to hire for the cabinets or plumbing, they helped line all of that up. Everyone was super patient with my indecisiveness, their knowledge and expertise in selecting coordinating tiles for floor, backsplash and granite countertops inspired the look that I admire everyday. I can't wait until I can call them back to remodel our master bathroom! You won't regret calling D&L Tile!

My family has used D&L Tile for countless granite projects over the last five years. They are always extremely professional and have stood by their work. The reason we have used them so many times is that they make it to easy so we end up finding projects to hire them for. D&L tile has been a family operated business for going on the third generation and it is apparent in the quality of work provided. They recently completed a walk in shower for my elderly father in law and coordinated the job to limit down time as well as spent extra time to perfectly position the handicap rails at the height that worked best for him. My wife has uncompromising attention to detail and their work has always been excellent. I highly recommend D&L tile.
