When a contractor buys a slab, ships it to an outside fabricator with a set of measurements, and installs whatever comes back, every hand-off is a chance for cutouts to misalign and edge profiles to be misinterpreted. What a Granite Fabricator Does

A granite fabricator transforms a raw slab into finished, install-ready pieces. That work includes templating the space, cutting the slab to size, fabricating sink and cooktop cutouts and faucet holes, shaping and polishing the edge profile, finishing the surface, and preparing the seam joints. Precision at this stage is what makes installation fast and clean.

Our shop runs a Park Industries Javelin saw — a bridge-style saw that produces straight cuts, miters, and curved profiles to fabrication-shop tolerances. Combined with hand-finishing and polishing equipment for edge work, sink cutouts, and detail polishing, it gives us the in-house capability to fabricate work that other contractors must send out.

Hand-Select Your Granite Slab

Granite buying starts with seeing the actual slab. Sample chips and digital photos cannot capture the depth, movement, and color variation of a full slab, and two slabs of the same name from the same quarry can look very different.

Our 2,000+ square foot showroom at 111 Linden Street in Reno opens directly onto a full slab yard. You can walk through hundreds of slabs — classic granites like Black Galaxy, Uba Tuba, Giallo Ornamental, Tan Brown, and Santa Cecilia, alongside exotic options like Blue Bahia, Typhoon Bordeaux, and Volga Blue — and reserve the exact piece that becomes your countertop. Our remnant yard offers premium leftover pieces at reduced prices, ideal for vanity tops, fireplace hearths, and bar tops.

Edge Profiles and Finishes We Fabricate

We fabricate every standard edge profile — eased, bullnose, half bullnose, ogee, dupont, beveled, mitered, waterfall, and laminated double-thickness edges — and three surface finishes: polished (high-gloss reflective), honed (matte, soft-touch), and leathered (textured, fingerprint-hiding). Edge and finish dramatically change the look and feel of a countertop, so we encourage you to compare them in person at our showroom.

If you have already sourced a slab elsewhere, we can fabricate it for you as well.

Our Granite Fabrication Process

Step 1: Slab Selection — hand-pick your granite in our Reno slab yard; we mark and reserve the exact piece so the slab you chose is the slab we cut.

Step 2: Templating — we capture every measurement, cutout, edge condition, and seam point.

Step 3: Fabrication — your slab is cut on the Javelin saw; cutouts, edges, and finishes are fabricated to spec and polished.

Step 4: Quality Check and Install — finished pieces are inspected and dry-fitted, then handed to our installation crew, who set and seal them in your home.
