All countertops will need to be cleared of any obstructions in order to provide the most accurate measurements.
Please have all cabinets securely installed in their permanent position and level. After the template, cabinets must not move.
All appliances affecting measurements will need to be onsite. The sink must be on site. If D&L has to be up the sink, a $195 fee will be added
If D&L shows up and the area is not ready a $195 fee will be added in order to come back out to complete the template.
YOUR INSTALLATION APPOINTMENT
All plumbing must be completely disconnected prior to install arrival. This includes all plumbing connected to sinks and all removal of everything from the countertops. D&L WILL NOT do any demo/prep work unless it is on our contract.
We recommend at least 12 hours (minimum) after installation before any plumbing gets hooked up.
Stone can be unpredictable so delays are possible. We do our best to forecast difficult installs but some delays will be beyond our control.
SEAMS
D&L uses the best technology to make countertops as seamless as possible, but seams are not invisible. Seams will be seen and felt. Final seam location is at the discretion of D&L Tile. Our method in choosing seam locations is three parts: Do as few seams as possible, slab layout, and be able to transport, install, and preserve your stone as safely as possible.
NATURE OF STONE
Stone countertops are beautiful polished rocks. Natural variations in the stone occur and enhance the beauty.
Fissures, pits, voids, dull spots, textural differences and thickness variations are not considered defects and will not warrant a remake or discount. If you chose remnants for the project, only remnants will be used for reworks. If material is chosen elsewhere, D&L recommends that supplier inform you about the material.
FINISH WORK
Occasionally, due to the scope of an install, ‘finish work’ may need to be done. D&L Tile does not perform finish work.
Examples of finish work might include: Reinstalling trim that had to be removed to complete install, drywall work due to unavoidable damage from uninstalling and installing tops, any electrical work, cabinetry, and all plumbing.
SEALING
D&L tile will do one coat of sealer. Sealers are not 100% “proof”. If one coat is not enough, it is the homeowners responsibility to add additional coat
